Summary Report

These instructions describe how to generate a Summary Report in RMCDS.

From the RMCDS Main Menu click on Reports > Summary\Survival > Summary

This will open the Summary Report window.

At the top of the window is a box labeled This Report will be from:. Here you have the option to chose either The entire Master file, which will use every case that is in your database, or a Subset of cases which you created previously. The default selects The entire Master file, to select Subset, click on the radio button and then enter the name of the subset you wish to use in the text box to the right. If you wish to select the subset from a list of available subsets, click on Browse and choose the subset you want to use from the list.

The next box in the window is a text box labeled Heading. The heading you type in here will appear at the top of each page in the report. You may leave the Heading blank if you so desire.

If this is to be an Annual Report, check the box and then type in the desired year for the report.

In the middle section of the window you will find the various options that you can use to customize your report. Use the black arrow to the right of each selection box to choose which option you wish to include in your report. The default answers are marked with a '*' in case you have a question as to whether or not the selection has been changed. Some of the choices require that you type in specific numbers or dates. To do this, simply click on the text box and enter the desired number. There are also a few check boxes which allow you to choose what you do and do not want printed in this report.

After you have made any desired changes, click on Run to generate the report. The status bar at the bottom of the window will display changing information letting you know that the program is running. It will then bring up the print options window.

This window gives you the options to Examine & Print,and Delete File, the listing report. Click on Examine & Print to open the report in the editor defined in your personal parameters. You can view and print this report from your editor.
